They speak about their messenger system as if these people are somehow more connected through this minimal communication, then, oh, lets say actually being with and talking to a real person. It continues to show that these users can also see when someone has opened a message and when someone is typing, removing any sort of privacy that might still remain on a device that already demands instant responses in fear of back lash from nosey friends.
